April 22, 2010 - Baton Rouge, LA - In four Lady Jaguar wins last week, freshman Shawntall Steamer went 9-for-14 while recording seven runs, nine RBI's, three triples, a double and a homer.

Steamer's efforts helped the Blue and Gold sweep a three-game series against Prairie View A&M while also posting an out-of-conference victory over Southeastern-Louisiana last week.

The Freeport, Texas native leads the team in batting with a .364 average. Her 10 triples have her in first place on the team, the conference and second in the NCAA.
